Con Implante
La falta de desarrollo mamario o hipoplasia mamaria afectan a un gran número de mujeres. Actualmente, está demostrado científicamente que la cirugía de aumento mamario mejora el autoestima, la vida sexual y la calidad de vida de las pacientes. La forma más frecuente de aumento mamario es utilizando implantes de silicona.
Dependiendo de ciertas condiciones anatómicas y de las preferencias de la paciente, el aumento mamario se puede realizar a través del surco submamario, a través de una incisión periareolar o a través de la axila. La prótesis es colocada en general bajo la glándula mamaria o bajo el músculo pectoral mayor.
El volumen aproximado y la forma del implante son determinados antes de la cirugía en conjunto con la paciente, tomando en consideración el examen físico y las preferencias y objetivos estéticos buscados.
Es importante considerar que, a la fecha, no existe evidencia de asociación entre el uso de implantes de silicona y la aparición de cáncer ni enfermedades reumatológicas. También está demostrado que con las técnicas radiológicas adecuadas no disminuye el rendimiento de la mamografía para la detección del cáncer de mama.
Con inyección de grasa
En los últimos años ha aparecido un gran interés por realizar aumento mamario con tejido de la propia paciente, sin necesidad de utilizar implantes. Una opción es la lipoinyección mamaria. En este procedimiento, la misma grasa que se retira de las partes en donde está en exceso es inyectada en la mamas.
Las inyecciones son cuidadosamente realizadas bajo y sobre la glándula mamaria, y no dentro de la glándula. En términos generales, esta técnica es aconsejable en pacientes que buscan un resultado totalmente natural, que desean evitar los implantes de silicona y que no necesitan un gran aumento de volumen. En ocasiones es necesario realizar esta cirugía en al menos 2 etapas para lograr el efecto deseado.
Transaxilar endoscópico
El aumento mamario por vía axilar asistido por endoscopio es una opción interesante en todas las pacientes que buscan un aumento mamario con implantes y que no desean tener cicatrices en las mamas. Está especialmente indicado en pacientes con surco inframamario mal definido y con areola pequeña.
En este tipo de aumento la cicatriz está ubicada estratégicamente en la zona más alta de la axila. Por esta vía, con la ayuda del endoscopio, es posible colocar el implante bajo o sobre el músculo pectoral mayor, sin la necesidad de dejar cicatrices ni en el surco ni alrededor de la areola.
El endoscopio permite controlar la disección del lugar donde se va a colocar el implante y controlar todos los puntos de sangrado disminuyendo el riesgo de hematoma. Con el uso cuidadoso de esta técnica se puede lograr un resultado seguro, natural y elegante.
